ThinkMarkets
ThinkTrader, its own platform, is the centrepiece. MT4/MT5 and a set of licences complete the picture.
Fact sheet
What kind of broker is it?
ThinkMarkets wrote its own platform, ThinkTrader, and built Trading Central research and technical analysis tools into it. On the account side the range starts at ThinkZero, which has raw spreads, and extends to accounts enabled for copy trading. It is a retail broker for forex and CFDs, present in several jurisdictions, and its operations are regulated by the FCA, ASIC, FSCA and other authorities.
Where the points come from
These points measure fit, not rank. When a broker gets 5.0 for something, we judged it by the demands of its own category and did not compare it with every other broker.
The good and the not so good
In its favour
- FCA and ASIC: tier-1 on both counts
- ThinkZero: raw spreads, commission added
- MT4/MT5/TradingView, plus the in-house ThinkTrader
- Comes with Trading Central's technical analysis
- Any amount opens a standard account
- Help in a range of languages
Against it
- IG and Saxo list more share CFDs
- A fee starts after 6 months without activity
- When support is reachable depends on your region
- Not as well known as the big incumbents
Is it right for you?
For the active forex trader who wants tier-1 regulation and raw spreads together, and likes being able to switch between a proprietary platform and MT4/MT5/TradingView.
Trading CFDs means trading with leverage, and losing money is a real and high risk. Check that this broker may legally serve residents of your country before you deposit. Its full risk warning is on its official website.
